RENAISSANCE COLLECTIVE: THE MIXTAPE OF A CENTURY
San Diego, CA (January 2012)— Today not only breeds the start of a new year, but also the resurgence of music forgotten as Féla “The Future’s Own” Ross, a 17-year-old budding artist/producer from San Diego CA, releases “The Renaissance Collective: The Mixtape of A Century.” The full-length concept LP is loosely based on the major periods of American culture and music throughout the 1900’s. Themes throughout the project feature the Renaissance Era and Enlightenment periods of Europe artistically in the artwork and music. The music is composed and arranged by Féla and KEiTH PHELPS both former students at the 2009 GRAMMY Camp at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
As a young man seasoned beyond what his age may read, Féla delivers his musical passion with enthusiasm and discipline. As he continues to broaden his knowledge and refine his skills, 2012 undoubtedly is bright for “The Future’s Own.”
